William Procida founded WPI in January 1995 after a prosperous and successful 14 years as principal of a Building and Development concern of which he was co-founder. During that time, acting as principal, over $300,000,000 of product was constructed of almost every building type. 1994 was a milestone year for that company which included the full repayment of $125,000,000 of recourse short-term debt, receiving several prestigious national and local awards.
At the same time Mr. Procida was building in New York and New Jersey his close friend from High School, Mark Zurlini, was making a name for himself in the Commercial Real Estate Lending circles, starting at Morsemere Federal Savings and Loan (where Mr. Procida was a client) then spending the last five years of his banking tenure at First Fidelity Bank, later known as First Union, as one of its top loan producers.
The two decided on a career change in the latter part of 1994. From 1995 to 1997 Billy and Mark collaborated on several transactions. It became clear that their complimenting skill sets of a Real Estate Entrepreneur/Developer and a Commercial Real Estate Lender should be better utilized together. In 1998 they joined forces. The unique combination of a developers' vision and the discipline of a banker has resulted in the completion of $2 billion of transactions over a broad spectrum of risk traunches and asset classes.
Today, together with a tight knit team of seasoned professionals and closely associated firms, WPI has changed it's name. As Palisades Financial we are able to provide the highest level of Advisory and Investment banking services to middle market clients and borrowers.
Many firms refer to a "Hands on Approach" the question is , "Who's Hands"?
